POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, or maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Identify and proper use of instrumentation materials
  • Knowledge of instrumentation tools and equipment
  • Understand principles of measurement as applied to instrumentation
  • Read drawing and P&IDS
  • Layout and install various size tubing
  • Install air pipe
  • Fabricate and install support, braces, and hangers for tube tray
  • Layout and install instrument stands and support
  • Mount and install instrument devices such as pump, switches, transmitters, regulators, level controllers, safety valves, gauges, etc.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPENTENCIES

  • High School/GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum years of experience 1 year in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of material types.

REQUIRED

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak basic English.
  • Workmanship must be maintained to adequate quality control level to meet customer requirements.
  • Work well with others on the team as it relates to collaboration efforts.
  • Maintain and follow all company rules as stated in the Code of Conduct.
  • Need to perform additional duties as directed by supervision.
  • May be transferred to a different department based on business needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Must have full mobility in bending and squatting.
  • Must be able to stand or walk on feet for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder or harness system up to 4 feet high.

CONDITIONS

  • Manufacturing floor, confined space, and exposure to dust and fumes related to the industry well within safety standards. Exposed to changing and inclement weather conditions.

  • Comfortable in confined space 15 inch inside diameter to size of tank entry.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Basic work schedule is Monday through Friday. Hours are based of production needs. Employee must adapt to schedule changes as required due to business needs. This position could require weekends, nightshift, rotating schedules, holidays, mandatory overtime, and on-call.
